My typical school visit involves a 30 or 45 minute presentation to a class or two at a time. I can do up to four presentations a day. First and second grades are a natural fit since that is around the typical age for my books. After showing books to the class I focus on the illustration process - everything from working out an idea right up to the finished art. 

I have also given talks on book illustration to middle schoolers and college students, and have done comic drawing and bookmaking workshops.
